Marijuana's illegal? But Salvia is legal right?

Salvia or Salvia Divinorum is a powerful hallucinogen belonging to the sage family. The main psychoactive ingredient in Salvia is diterpenoid or Salvia A. Salvia is known to produce altered states of awareness, lasting anywhere from a few minutes to a half-hour. Basically, what that means is during a Salvia high, one has no clue, who, where, or what they are! Salvia can be smoked or chewed, and leaves the user with feelings of utopia for hours or even days later.

The above video may indeed be funny, but the dangerous effects of salvia are clear. After oly a few hits, Salvia users enter into a detached state of reality. Some users describe this as an "out-of-body experience. "Trip-sitters," or people to watch after you, are highly recommended, since users have no perception of reality and what is in fact real. Now does a substance that you have to be babysat on seem safe? Hell no! Besides the out-of-body experience , some users experience flashbacks or hallucinations, similar to acid use, long after the drug wears off. I personally know someone who used Salvia and flipped out, ending up in the hospital for a mental evaluation!

I often smoke marijuana and have never, NEVER, been incompassitated after only a few hits! I can smoke (marijuana) by myself with no fear of self injury or destructive behavior. Furthermore, marijuana use allows for talking, walking, eating, driving a car, operating heavy machinery and everything else you can't do on Salvia .

Why do other people think marijauna is illegal?

Cannabis, marijuana , pot, dope, weed, herb, green, trees, ganja, fire, maryjane etc., call it what you may; we've all heard of it and most of us do or have used marijuana before, whether or not you're willing to admit it! For hundreds of years cannabis has been cultivated for its numerous uses, from rope, hair and skin products, to its widely accepted medicinal purposes. With so many great uses, one would think cannabis (the whole plant) would be celebrated, not the case! In fact, marijuana is largely frowned upon in American, as well as other societies around the world. With so much controversy surrounding a, seemingly innocent little plant, I often find myself asking the question: "Why is marijuana illegal?"
